Gatwick Short Stay

Dining in Gatwick

It's often hard to find a good place to eat when flying, but it doesn't have to be in the London Gatwick Airport. Whether the traveler wants to sit and eat or get something fast as they run for the next gate, satisfying and delicious options can be found in Gatwick.

If the traveler is looking for breakfast food, it cannot get much better than the Apostrophe. A self-proclaimed boutique for sandwiches, Apostrophe serves hot coffee that has been freshly made, sweet pastries that are perfect for early mornings, and croissants with omelettes. If that is not to the traveler's taste, they could also try Cafe Rouge, a cafe in the French tradition that serves hot breakfasts and is open all day long. They also have coffee, that staple of the airport life, but they add to the selection with beer and wine for the dinner menu.

If the traveler is looking to sample cuisine of a more foreign nature, they could take lunch or dinner at the Armadillo Cafe and Grill. The Armadillo serves breakfast in the style of the southern United States--in particular, the cities and towns around Santa Fe. They serve bacon and fritattas, coffee and sausage, eggs and potatoes. There is spice in the food and a fun-filled atmosphere that makes the traveler feel welcome, as if sharing a piping hot breakfast on the open ranch.

If wishing for a classy and elegant atmosphere, the traveler could stop in at the Caviar House and Prunier. There they can find seafood--rich caviar and salmon made to perfection. They will also find a large selection of fine wines to help pass the time waiting between flights.

In addition, the Gatwick Airport has fast food in the form of Burger King, something quick for those almost missing their flights.
